I grew up about 30 minutes North of Land O Lakes, Wi in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  My dad owned and operated a successful independent mortgage brokerage throughout my youth and although his time on earth was cut short I vividly remember him helping others achieve their goals and offering products and services that far surpassed what many expected.  Hearing stories from people he had helped well after his passing lead me into this career.  Working with an independent mortgage brokerage has so many benefits.  First and foremost we work for and are obligated to you, and you alone.  At Select One we have relationships with well over 40 different lenders and have the ability to find a solution for virtually any borrower.  Whether your credit score is 600 or 800 or your home is worth $100,000 or $1,000,000 we will do our best and find a solution for you.  Our job is to advocate on your behalf and help you navigate the everchanging and complex residential lending marketplace.  We are not obligated to a single lender or product selection.  We canvas the lending marketplace on your behalf and will provide, discuss, and review multiple options for your unique situation allowing you to make a no pressure, well informed decision.

We offer assistance for both new home purchases and refinances.  Concerning refinances we can often provide options that significantly lower rate or term remaining (often both).  We also offer a variety of cash out options whether you are looking to consolidate debt, pay for college, do that kitchen upgrade, or purchase that hunting land or lake lot.  Often times using the equity in your primary residence is a more cost effective and easier way to complete these types of things then utilizing other borrowing capability.  If it ends in "mortgage" we can handle it!

Our process often starts with an objective and honest discussion without strings or obligations.  We want to learn about your situation and goals.  After discussing your situation and getting some basic information we can often put together an accurate prediction of what to expect in the marketplace based on our knowledge.  If you want to move forward we can complete an application online, in our office, or in your home (yes we make house calls still!), get some supporting documentation along with pulling credit, and firm up what is available in the lending marketplace. 

Interest rates for residential lending continue to hover near all times lows and it is a great time to evaluate what options are out there.  If it's been more then a year or so since your mortgage was started there is a very high probability it makes sense to look at what other options are out there today.  Our refinance process is very straight forward and typically we can keep costs quite minimal (many of our partners even offer appraisal waivers in alot of cases).  There is absolutely no cost or obligation to see what is out there in terms of options for your situation.
